Repose Studio Gym

What a wonderful time our Ladybirds had on their trip to Repose Studio! We had such a fun and active session, giving the children lots of opportunities to move their bodies, develop their physical skills and, most importantly, have lots of fun together!

The children took part in their very own little PT session, where we started by warming up with some fantastic clapping, jumping, stretching and squatting. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved and having a go at each movement in their own way. These activities are great for helping the children develop their gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength and body awareness.

We then turned up the fun with some dancing to “Little Bunnies”! The children loved moving along to the music, copying the actions and expressing themselves through movement. There were lots of smiles, giggles and energetic little dancers!

Our session also included some fantastic ball skills. The children had opportunities to practise throwing and kicking balls, helping them to develop their coordination, control and spatial awareness. It was wonderful to watch them becoming more confident as they explored different ways of moving and handling the balls.

To finish, we had lots of fun with bean bags, practising throwing them into a large box. This was a great activity for encouraging the children to focus, aim and judge distance while developing their coordination and throwing skills.

It was such a lovely, active and engaging experience for our Ladybirds. They had the opportunity to explore movement in lots of different ways, build confidence in their physical abilities and enjoy being active in a new and exciting environment.

A huge thank you to Rachel, Freddie’s mummy, for giving us this amazing experience and for teaching us some really fun and useful exercises! We are so grateful for the time, effort and enthusiasm you shared with us. The children absolutely loved it and had such a fantastic time!

Well done, Ladybirds — you were all amazing!
