Diwali – A Festival of Light, Colour and Creativity
Across the nursery, the children have been exploring the wonderful celebration of Diwali through stories, sensory play and creative activities. We enjoyed sharing the traditional story of Rama and Sita, learning about their journey and how Diwali celebrates their return home, with people lighting beautiful diyas to welcome them. This helped the children understand why light is such an important part of the celebration.
The children took part in a variety of exciting activities, including creating colourful rangoli patterns, decorating diya lamps and exploring vibrant sensory trays. Through these fun, hands-on experiences, the children explored different colours, textures and patterns while developing their creativity and learning about different cultures and traditions.
