The grasshoppers busily set to work planting their delicate herbs, using their hand and eye co-ordination. First, they grasped a small shovel and dug into the soil, turning over the soil and mixing in fresh, dark compost that smelled earthy and alive. Once the ground was soft and ready, they carefully made small holes, each one just the right size for the herbs to settle into. Gently, they lifted the herbs from their pots, loosening the roots with great care before placing them into the waiting soil. With soft, precise movements, they patted the soil around each plant, securing them firmly so they would stand strong and safe. Finally, they sprinkled cool water over the herbs, watching as droplets soaked into the soil, ensuring the young plants stayed hydrated and ready to grow.
