This week the Blazes have enjoyed working with clay! They noted that it was quite different to the playdough they normally play with and was harder to form into shapes. We learned that clay can be used to make plates, cups and bowls as once it dries it turns hard! The children rolled the clay out using rolling pins and their hands and picked a shape to cut their clay into. They then pressed their finger into the clay leaving a finger print (a moment forever captured in time!). The children then had some letter stamps that they could use to stamp their names into the clay. They did a great job locating all the letters they needed then pressing them down into the clay to make their name! Once their creations were dry the children painted them however they chose. Some chose one colour and others made patterns using multiple colours. A beautiful display of creativity, fine motor skills and letter recognition, well done Blazes!
