To begin our journey, the children prepared for their flight to Japan by creating their very own personalised passports. Each passport included a self-portrait, name, signature, age, gender, a description of themselves, and where they live. The children were incredibly proud of their creations and enjoyed discussing the information they had included.

Before boarding, each child presented their passport to our pilot for inspection. The pilot carefully checked their details and asked questions to ensure all of their information was correct. This provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to practise recalling personal information and communicating confidently. Once their passports had been approved, they were directed to their seats and eagerly awaited take-off. To make the experience even more realistic, we used the speaker system to recreate the sounds and announcements of a real flight. Excitement filled the room as the plane prepared for departure!

After a smooth journey and a successful landing in Japan, the children celebrated by clapping and waving goodbye to the pilot. We then continued our adventure by walking through beautiful cherry blossom trees, which the children had painted earlier in the week, before arriving in our very own Japanese town.

The children then watched an engaging educational video that introduced them to the different cities of Japan and explored aspects of Japanese culture and traditions. They were highly engaged throughout, demonstrating excellent listening skills and enthusiasm as they eagerly answered questions and shared their thoughts afterwards.

It has been fantastic to see the children's curiosity and excitement as they learn about different countries, cultures, and traditions across Asia. We have had an amazing week filled with exploration, imagination, and discovery, and we are already looking forward to continuing our travels as we head to Australia next week!
