Calm Through Yoga

Today we did an impromptu yoga session as a way to help the children navigate their emotions, especially as they prepare for the transition to big school. Many children may feel a mix of excitement and nervousness about this big step, and this provided a gentle space for them to explore these feelings. Through mindfulness and movement, they learned to express themselves, relax their minds, and find a sense of calm. We saw wonderful moments of connection as they practiced breathing techniques and simple poses together, helping them feel more grounded and secure. The children particularly enjoyed the pose where they balanced on one leg. By the end of the session the children all had big smiles on their faces and we all had a group discussion about the feelings they have around moving on to their new schools. Well done Blazes.
