Creative Play with Edible Dough

Creative Play with Edible Dough

This week, the babies had a delightful sensory experience with edible playdough! We began by mixing cornflour and yogurt to create a soft, malleable dough. Once it reached the perfect consistency, we divided it into two portions and added food colouring one green and one pink to make it visually exciting. We placed the playdough on a tray along with rolling pins and cookie cutters, giving the little ones the opportunity to explore in a hands-on way. The babies were fascinated by the texture, eagerly squishing, rolling, and patting the dough, and some even tasted it, discovering that it was safe and fun to explore with their senses. This activity not only encouraged fine motor skills but also supported creativity, curiosity, and sensory development. It was wonderful to see the children engaged, laughing, and enjoying the playful learning experience together. Well done babies!
