This week to celebrate the anniversary of the Moon landing, the nursery enjoyed taking part in a variety of exciting space-themed activities.
-Our babies loved exploring a sensory tuff tray filled with moon sand while listening to a story about astronauts, encouraging their curiosity and sensory development.
-The toddlers also explored a tuff tray with moon sand before taking part in a large-scale floor painting activity. They imagined they were astronauts landing on the Moon, walking across their painted lunar surface and leaving their own "footprints."
-Our preschool children enjoyed creating their own sensory space bottles, choosing from a variety of fillers such as stars, glitter, and coloured paints to make each bottle unique. We also explored a special space-themed book and learned some fascinating facts about the Moon. Did you know that the Moon has no air, so there is no wind or weather? That means astronauts' footprints can stay on the Moon for millions of years!
It has been a fantastic week of exploration, creativity, and discovery, inspiring the children to use their imaginations as they learned more about the wonders of space
