Today, the grasshoppers had a wonderful time exploring the fascinating world of slime-making. With a lot of enthusiasm, they got started on their special slime mixture. Chelsea was there to help, ensuring that we had the washing up liquid and cornflour measured out and ready in jugs and bowls for the children to use. Each child took turns, mixing the ingredients together with great joy.
As we combined the cornflour and soap, we noticed that the mixture was quite dry. So, we decided to add some shaving foam to make it fluffier. The children eagerly assisted, squirting the foam into the bowl with laughter and excitement.
Once the slime had transformed into a puffy, stretchy texture, the fun really began! The children loved moulding and shaping their slime into whatever they imagined. They were given different resources, such as ribbons, tissue paper, and googly eyes, to create their very own unique slime monsters. It was a delight to watch their creativity shine!
