Making instruments
The babies have been busy creating their own sensory bottles this week. We provided bottles, funnels, and jugs, along with a variety of materials that create different sounds, including lentils, rice, pumpkin seeds, and uncooked wheat snacks. The babies enjoyed exploring the different textures and sounds while filling their bottles.
This activity encouraged the development of fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as the babies carefully pinched, scooped, and poured the materials into the bottles. They worked hard to fill their creations and were delighted with the finished results. We made some lovely sensory shakers, which we have enjoyed using during circle time.
