The babies have been busy exploring different textures this week! We wanted to create an activity tailored specifically to our youngest babies, so we provided them with a sensory-rich experience where they could explore and feel a variety of textures.
The babies had the opportunity to explore smooth, bumpy, rough and shiny materials, including a piece of soft carpet, artificial grass and crinkly tin foil. They used their hands, fingers and feet to touch, pat, squeeze and investigate each material, showing lots of curiosity and interest as they discovered how each texture felt.
