The children have been enjoying the new digging patch we have created for the children to enjoy digging in the mud with their spades and flower pots.
Digging in mud patches is a vital EYFS activity, fostering sensory exploration, immune system strengthening, and physical development. Toddlers enhance fine motor skills, creativity, and social skills like sharing by using tools to dig, scoop, and mix mud. Dedicated, safe mud areas improve cognitive and emotional development.
