The babies have been working on their hand eye coordination and fine motor skills in a very inventive way. We decided to create a different use for our baby gate and some recycled items we’d collected. The babies were encouraged to post various shaped and sized items through the different types of tubes attached to the gate, this encouraged the babies to use their problem solving skills as some of the items didn’t quite fit and became a little bit fiddly. This activity not only challenged their curiosity but also their thinking skills and hand eye coordination. The babies have enjoyed it so much we’ve decided to continue to explore and extend it throughout the rest of the week
