Keeping Warm in the Winter

The Grasshoppers went to the forest to look at how to keep warm in the winter.

They took part in a variety of activities to keep warm.

First of all they talked about warm clothing such as wearing layers as well as coats, hats, gloves and scarves.

Then they looked at their warm breath creating steam in the air.

The children did some exercises to warm them up.

Looking at how movement can have effects on your body.

They also foraged for leaves in order to light our kelly kettle.

The children worked hard to create the fire for the kettle.

Then they used the hot water to make hot chocolate to keep warm.

Everyone thought the hot chocolate warmed them up.

Next the children drew their own people with clothing that would keep them warm.
