Germs Experiment

The ladybirds have been learning about germs.

They filled a tray with water and sprinkled in some pepper.

They talked about how the pepper was 'germs'.

They talked about how they can protect themselves by germs by washing their hands and using soap.

Everyone practiced a good handwashing technique.

They sung the handwashing song.

Then they put their fingers into the tray of water and pepper to see what happened.

To the children's amazement the the germs (pepper) moved away from the children's fingers.

The children were excited looking at the cause and effect of how this worked.

They used new vocabulary such as germs and hygiene.
