Paint Pop Mark Making

The Ladybirds made their own paint pops. They squeezed paint into ice moulds and carefully poured water into the moulds using a jug, managing minimal spill of water. The children waited patiently for the pops to freeze and excitedly retrieved them from the freezer when they were ready. The children held onto the sticks and pushed the pops to paper watching to see what marks were made on the paper. The children used the pops to make various marks and used them as mark making tools as they experimented with colours and marks. The children watched as the pops melted and spread the water on the paper making larger marks and mixing the colours together.
