Beth led a guides workshop with the children to make s'mores in aide Bonfire Night. The activity involved risky fie play where the children identified the risks to the activity. They discussed the heat and the fire and looked at fire safety. Beth went through the fire safety kit with the children including the fire extinguisher and water. The risk was managed by children only approaching the fire with Beth, the children using metal sticks with wooden handles to toast the marshmallows and standing back from the fire. 

Everyone had the opportunity to toots a marshmallow looking at the change to the marshmallow as it was heated and how it changed in colour and texture.
