The Grasshoppers had lots of fun as they explored a fun and creative way to make colourful mosaic art using lasagna sheets! The children developed their gross motor strength by using hammers to carefully break the colourful lasagna sheets into smaller fragments. The children loved exploring the sounds, textures and effects of breaking the sheets, collecting the colourful pieces and preparing them for their masterpieces! Once the fragments were ready, the children got busy creating their very own mosaics. Using paintbrushes and their pincer grip, they carefully picked up and positioned each piece onto card, thinking about where to place the different colours to bring their artwork to life. The children experimented with colour, texture and materials, making creative choices and discovering how lots of little pieces can come together to create something beautiful! What a fantastic way to combine creativity, exploration and learning through play! Well done Grasshoppers!
