For National biscuit day Lions made Skillet Biscuits with the children, where they could measure the flower and butter and mixed it all together. Which they then enjoyed for their afternoon snack with fresh fruit and their milk.
Cooking with toddlers is a fantastic way to support their development across all areas of the UK's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It promotes active learning through sensory experiences, early mathematical concepts counting the cups needed, physical coordination, and independence and encouraging them to try new foods.
