Today we focused on developing our fine motor skills through a fun sensory activity. We attached sticky-back plastic to the furniture and added lolly sticks for the babies to pull off and stick back on independently. The babies were highly engaged and concentrated for long periods as they explored the activity using their hands and fingers.
This experience supported the babies’ fine motor development by encouraging grasping, pulling, releasing, and hand-eye coordination, while also allowing them to investigate textures and cause and effect through play.
