Today the butterflies have had a very exciting day; we started the day by taking part in a fun fire-themed tuff tray activity, where all the butterflies were given the task of putting out the fire, using water, paintbrushes, and pipettes while dressing up as firefighters.
To build on this, we went on a special trip. We first got on a bus to the fire station; we were super lucky, as when we arrived, we got to meet two firefighters who were so kind to let us have a look at a real-life fire engine, as well as even going on it as an extra special treat. It was so exciting looking at all the different equipment and meeting the two amazing firefighters.
While on the trip, we took part in a transport tallying activity, carefully looking at the different types of transport we could see and marking them off on our boards. We saw buses, cars, bikes, vans, lorries, and bicycles.
We then got the bus back to nursery; it was a lovely trip out.
