Bubble Tea Role Play
This week, the toddlers combined their love of water play with a fun bubble tea role-play activity. The children explored different coloured water and enjoyed pouring, transferring, and mixing the colours together to discover how new colours were created.
Using spoons, sieves, and jugs, the children carefully measured and poured their "bubble tea" into cups, developing their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. They then added pom-poms to represent the bubbles and had lots of fun stirring them into their tea. As they mixed, the children explored how the texture changed when the pom-poms were added to the water, sparking curiosity and encouraging sensory exploration.
The activity inspired imaginative play, supported early mathematical skills through measuring and pouring, and provided plenty of opportunities for conversation, exploration, and cooperative play.
