School Transition

School Transition

This week, our school leavers, along with some of the children who will be leaving preschool next year, enjoyed a trip to visit our local primary schools. We visited Shacklewell Primary School, Princess May Primary School, and Halley House School.
During our visits, the children had the opportunity to see each school's environment and become familiar with the buildings. We visited the main office at each school and spent time looking at the colourful displays and information boards, which gave the children a glimpse into school life and the exciting activities that take place there.
These visits are an important part of helping children prepare for their transition to primary school. Exploring the schools helps to make the new environment feel more familiar and encourages positive conversations about starting school. The children were excited, curious, and well-behaved throughout the trip, and they represented our preschool wonderfully.
We are so proud of all the children and hope this experience has helped them feel more confident and excited about taking the next step in their learning journey.
