World Elephant Day
World Elephant Day is celebrated on August 12th. For the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and toddlers, it provides a wonderful sensory and play-based theme to explore communication, physical movement, and early math concepts through stories like Elmer the Patchwork Elephant and interactive animal play.
The children in Lions really enjoyed the tuff tray that was set up with photos of real elephants and well as there toys elephants and they always love an Elmer's book.
