After some recent holidays, many of the children have been showing lots of interest in aeroplanes! Today we sat down and learned about how aeroplanes work and then we learned about something called origami. The children discovered that paper can be folded into many different shapes, objects and animals and that this is an ancient Japanese art form called origami! We then sat down together and the children were given step by step instructions for how to fold their paper into a plane. It was a bit tricky but with some support they all made a beautiful aeroplane. The children then decorated their aeroplanes before heading outside to make them fly! They all had great fun experimenting with different techniques to make their aeroplanes fly and with it being such a windy day it was so much fun watching the planes blow all over the garden!
