We opened our autumn cafe this week, we are still awaiting some more special things to arrive however we was eager for the children to beginning exploring. Our Autumn Café in the garden gives children lots of opportunities to learn through play. Children can pretend to be customers, chefs and café workers while talking, listening and taking turns. They can count autumn leaves, conkers and other natural objects. We added playdough today, this added opportunities for the children to develop fine motor skill and work upon their finger muscles. This supports Communication and Language, Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World, PSED and Expressive Arts and Design all within the EYFS.

The children have had a wonderful time playing in their this afternoon and we are excited to continue to add different resources and materials to this area through out autumn.
