The children in Tigers had been learning about Lions for Lions day. They had lots of stories bout Lions their favourite being 'That's not my Lion' the children then made prints using their toy Lions and dipping them in paint.
World Lion Day, celebrated on August 10th, provides a fantastic opportunity to engage young children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with learning about lions and conservation. It's a chance to introduce them to these magnificent animals, their habitats, and the importance of protecting them. Activities can focus on developing fine motor skills, exploring lion characteristics, and even learning about conservation efforts.
