Loose Parts

The children enjoyed playing with the rings and trying to hook them over the wooden pole. The wooden rings are part of our loose parts items.

Loose parts play is a type of child-led play that uses open-ended materials that can be moved, combined, and redesigned in multiple ways, without pre-set instructions. This kind of play encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving as children use simple items like blocks, stones, or cardboard boxes to build, create, and explore their environment. The materials are "loose" because they aren't fixed and can be manipulated freely by the child.
