Mark making in the garden

Cubs enjoyed their time in the garden where they enjoyed mark making in the flour using their hands or brushes.

Mark-making for babies and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) is about sensory, physical exploration of lines, dots, and shapes using diverse tools (fingers, sticks, crayons, water) to build essential fine motor skills, communication, and pre-writing confidence, not just drawing, through play-based, pressure-free activities like messy play, chalking, and tracing marks in sand or flour, linking to their interests.
