Beach Fun in the Sun!
As summer fast approaches, our toddlers had an exciting beach-themed day filled with sensory play, creativity, and early learning!
The children enjoyed paddling in the tuff tray, pretending it was the sea, and spent time building beautiful sandcastles using buckets and spades. There were lots of smiles as they explored textures and worked together.
To support early maths skills, we introduced number stones in the sand. The toddlers loved discovering and sorting the stones, counting them as they added them to their sandcastles or arranged them in order along the "beach." It was a fun and interactive way to weave numeracy into play.
The excitement continued as they used shaving foam and cones to make pretend ice creams. This sensory activity encouraged imaginative role play, with the children taking turns as customers and shopkeepers in their very own beachside ice cream stand.
It was a fantastic day full of exploration, learning, and summer sunshine vibes!
