This week in preschool we have been making bird biscuits, we brainstormed different ideas that we 5ought would make good ingredients, ideas like “soil would be amazing” , “I think the bird would really enjoy some fresh leaves” and “ They would love to nibble on some branches. We then settled on some ingredients and set up a tuft tray including soil, log ends, bird seeds and scoops. The children added water to the soil to make it a more stickier concoction, using the scoops we got a mixture of soil and applied it to the logs and then sprinkled the bird seeds onto the logs to create the biscuit effect, we then took them into garden and lined them up in a nice area to entice birds to come visit, we then used the touch and tilt to find out what birds are common in our area.
Preschool your bird biscuits looked amazing and your commitment to learning about birds was great you maintained focus and did fantastic across all the activities! Well done
