Colour Exploration

In the baby room, the children explored coloured water using simple tools like pipettes and paintbrushes on a large foam mat. A few of the babies held the pipettes with both hands, squeezing them slowly and watching wide-eyed as drops of blue or red water fell onto the mat and spread out. Others preferred the paintbrushes, dipping them into small pots of coloured water and dragging them across the foam, creating gentle streaks that quickly softened as the water soaked in. Some children tapped the brushes or splashed their hands in the shallow trays, enjoying the cool feel of the water more than the marks it made. The foam mat gradually filled with patches of diluted colour, and the babies often paused to look at how the colours mixed or faded. There was a lot of babbling, pointing, and curious touching as they noticed the changes happening under their hands, making the whole activity a naturally messy, sensory-rich moment of exploration.
