Colourful Sorting Fun in the Toddler Room
Our toddlers enjoyed a hands-on sorting activity using bright, colourful objects and small bowls. They carefully picked up each item with their fingers and sorted them by colour and quantity.
This simple activity supported fine motor development as children grasped, pinched, and transferred the objects, strengthening the small muscles in their hands. It also introduced early maths concepts as they explored colours, counted items, and compared groups using language like “more” and “less.”
Through play, the children built coordination, concentration, and confidence, all while having lots of fun learning together.
