Construction Workers
This week the toddlers have been learning about construction sites. We created our own construction area using a variety of materials to encourage imaginative play and hands-on exploration.
The children made their own “cement” mixture and used spades and spoons to add it to bricks, supporting their fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and early problem-solving. They built buildings and towers using different construction bricks, developing spatial awareness, creativity, and early mathematical thinking while also encouraging sharing and teamwork.
The children also made tracks in sand and soil, exploring different textures while strengthening their motor skills and developing imaginative play and communication.
