This week in preschool keeping in theme with recent hot weather, we decided to test out making our own bubbles using different solutions, following on from their love of bubbles. Preschool enjoyed making predictions before we started, as to which solution would work, and which they thought would work best. “The bubbles solution will be best!” Some said. “I think the washing liquid won’t work the best” another said. However the bubble solution was our highest vote, so we then put our predictions to the test.

We used our hands to help mix the solution into the water and then using the hula hoop, we carefully lifted the hoop up to create the bubbles. We noticed that actually when mixed with water, the bubble solution didn’t work as well, as the washing up liquid, which actually created stronger bubbles.

We quickly realised our predictions were wrong and the bubble solution wasn’t the best! However, preschool had so much fun carrying out these experiments and had lots of fun cooling down in he soapy water on such a hot day! 🥰
