Exploring Shadows

This week in preschool we have been exploring shadows and made our own shadow show. We took it in turns in group to create fun shapes, animals and silhouettes. We noticed that the nearer we got to the projector the bigger the shadow would be and smaller if it was far away. The children thoroughly engaged and loved this activity exploring the dark on light. To extend the activity we got toys out like, trains, elephants and stags. Some of us recreated stories and used our favourite stuffed animals. The whole experience was so magical for the children who told stories, shared laughter and even had a little dance in front of the projector.
