Fine Motor Experiments
This week in the toddler room we continued to focus on our interest in science experiments. We have been loving the cause and effect of the different experiments that we have tried. For our first experiment we made some fizzy bubbles. We used pipettes to splash coloured vinegar over some bicarbonate soda to create this effect. We then explored what would happen if we mixed the colour as we dropped it around. We loved making the fizzy bubbles and one of our friends even linked it to when she saw fireworks on holiday! To further extend this we then got creative with salt. We dipped paintbrushes into salt water and created some beautiful patterns and shapes on dark coloured card. We waited for our pictures to dry then marvelled at the crystallised effect the salt created on the paper really emphasising our creations. Well done toddlers!
