The children have shown a growing interest in books recently, so we took a trip to the local library. They thoroughly enjoyed choosing and exploring a variety of books and listening to new and exciting stories.
During our visit, the librarian led a wonderful story time session, reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Rabbit Says No. The children were captivated by the different voices and tones he used to bring the stories to life.
Back at nursery, we continued our exploration by using story sacks. The children used soft toys and puppets to make their own links and representations of the stories, which deepened their understanding and engagement with characters and narratives.
