This week, the toddlers had a fantastic time exploring sound and creativity through hands-on instrument making!
We began by making our own shakers using recycled bottles. The children practiced scooping and pouring with funnels as they measured and filled the bottles with different materials. Once completed, they enjoyed shaking and testing their new instruments to see what kinds of sounds they could make.
Next, we discovered the joy of drumming using large metal pots, bowls, and wooden spoons. The toddlers experimented with different rhythms and loved the loud, energetic beats they could produce.
To finish off our musical adventure, we crafted guitars using boxes, string, and elastic bands. The children were fascinated by the different sounds they could create by plucking and strumming their homemade instruments.
We had so much fun singing songs and making music together—it was a wonderful way to blend creativity, coordination, and a lot of joyful noise!
