This week in preschool the children got into some fun, competitive and active games!
It’s common in the preschool room for the children to have a strong likeness towards the magnetic tiles they share when playing, so we thought why not put it to a further and exciting use.
The children played 3 different games, starting with dice and counters which was a 2 player game involving a starting point and finishing point, we first demonstrated to them how to play, by rolling the dice and whatever number it landed on, they had to move their own stomp that many times along the squares. Whoever, out of the two players got to the finish point first wins.
The next game we played was bowling using a ball, we placed some magnetiles together standing up, representing the skittles and the children took turns rolling the ball to see how many they can knock down.
The final game they interacted in together was some air hockey, which they understood very quickly and picked up on the rules very quickly. They enjoyed it so much and had a laugh!
They were so supportive with one another and engaged throughout all the games, creating such a vibrant atmosphere!
