Painting Snow

The toddlers enjoyed exploring a creative, snow-themed activity using pipettes and coloured paints. They carefully squeezed the pipettes, using their fine motor skills to drip paint onto the “snow” surface and watched with interest as the colours spread, mixed, and created different patterns.

The children experimented freely making marks, noticing colour changes, and showing curiosity as they explored cause and effect. We named the different colours we could see in the snow, which supported the children’s colour recognition and language development.

They also demonstrated turn taking skills by swapping pipettes and exploring a variety of colours. Overall, the children were highly engaged and thoroughly enjoyed painting the snow
