Pumpkin Soup

Today, the babies explored the inside of a pumpkin as part of a sensory and imaginative play activity. We provided bowls, spoons, and orange playdough to support roleplay, with the children pretending to make “pumpkin soup.” The babies showed curiosity and enthusiasm, using the tools to scoop and stir while engaging in early pretend play.
When the seeds were removed, the children became fascinated by the new textures. They used their hands to feel and explore the slippery, soft pumpkin flesh, expressing interest through gestures, facial expressions, and vocalisations.
