Rainbow Ball Drop

This week in toddlers we did some colour matching large scale painting. To set the activity up we got bowls and balls and colour matched the balls to the correct bowl. Inside each bowl was some paint, we then got the guttering and elevated one side into a slide. The toddlers then got the balls and slid the balls down the slide watching the cause and effect of this action, the balls made different marks on the paper, we positioned the slide around the paper so the directions of the marks changed. Some toddlers noticed that there was colour mixing happening “that looks like brown” one said while another was super excited and exclaimed “ITS PURPLE”. The toddlers noticed that when the ball was put at the top the marks would be longer as the ball went further. They really focused on the cause and effect side of the activity and showed high energies the whole time. Toddlers you did great with this activity and we are so proud of your participation.
