School Rules

School Rules!

This week in preschool, we have been preparing for school with a variety of different activities and tasks. First of all we went and visited Halley house and picked up a prospectus from outside, we then headed over to Shacklewell where we went inside the reception area, asked some questions and looked at the outside of the building making sure to be very quiet as the other children were learning. We saw the bike and scooter park and had a sneak peak at the playground. After this we came back and looked at the prospectus and saw different experiences and activities that happened in school.
After this we recreated lunch time at school, we had to line up, get our plate and cutlery and go to Sharon where she served up her amazing chicken hotpot and we then went and sat down together with our friends, we formed an amazing line and showed excellent patience whilst we waited to be served.
Then we did a “classroom style” lesson where we did some mathematics, we sat down in front of the interactive whiteboard and answered the questions that appeared, raising our hands when we knew the answer. We then discussed how we was feeling about going to school and drew different emotions on the board to indicate how we are feeling and discussed these feelings within our group.
Preschool you did so well with this school readiness project and we couldn’t be prouder of the children you are and are becoming, keep shining bright always.
