To celebrate Valentine’s Day, our toddler room enjoyed a wonderfully messy and magical art experience all about love and friendship.
The children worked in pairs and each wore a large heart shape around their neck. We added small amounts of paint to the hearts, and then came the best part — they gave each other big cuddles! As they hugged, the paint squished and swirled together, mixing into beautiful patterns and colour blends.
There were lots of giggles as the children watched the colours change and spread. It was a lovely way to explore colour mixing through sensory play, while also encouraging kindness, connection and positive relationships.
