Slime Making Workshop

Slime Making Workshop

This week in preschool, we had an exciting hands on activity we made our very own slime! Using a fun and simple recipe of PVA glue, baking soda, and contact solution, Before we began, we explored each ingredient together, discussing what they looked and felt like, and predicting what might happen when we mixed them. It was a fantastic opportunity to spark curiosity and introduce some early scientific thinking in a playful way. The children got stuck in as they mixed all the ingredients together. There were lots of giggles and smiles as they explored the texture and worked to get their slime to just the right consistency. Once the base slime was ready, we divided it among the children, and each preschooler had the chance to personalise their own creation by choosing a colour red, pink, green, or yellow food colouring. The excitement was contagious as they carefully added drops of colour, some even trying to combine colours in hopes of creating magical, rainbow slime! It was a wonderful sensory experience that encouraged creativity, curiosity, and a bit of messy fun. The children loved every moment and took pride in making something all on their own.
Well done, to all our little slime makers!
