Spaghetti and Pipe Cleaner Posting
In the baby room, children are engaged in a playful yet educational activity where they post spaghetti and pipe cleaners through the small holes of a colander and push pipe cleaners through penne pasta. This exercise helped develop hand-eye coordination as the children work on aligning their hands and fingers with the holes, building dexterity and precision whilst also building on their fine motor development. This was a great way to promote initial mathematical skills as they explore spacial awareness, shapes and sizes and problem solving skills.
