The babies made some lovely summertime prints by using grapefruit and lime halves dipped in paint. They stamped their citrus fruits across large sheets of paper. The babies were able to fully use their hand eye coordination and fine motor skills to grip the forks and fruit using their palmar grasp to dab them on the paper. But what truly captured their attention was when they abandoned the fruits and dipped their fingers and palms directly into the paint—pressing their hands into the paint and mixing it up before dabbing them onto paper to create handprints.
