Transport hunting
This week the toddlers went on a lovely warm afternoon walk to the park. As the toddlers made their way, they engaged in a transport hunting activity. Along the route, the children enthusiastically pointed out and discussed various forms of transport they encountered. Their excitement was evident as they identified and named different vehicles such as cars, buses, bicycles, and even an occasional train in the distance. They also had a checklist to tick off all the different transports they saw. Throughout the walk, the toddlers expressed curiosity and excitement, with some pointing and calling out the names of the transport. The group demonstrated a growing awareness of the world around them and an eagerness to connect the things they saw with what they had previously learned.
The interaction was not only a wonderful learning experience but also allowed the toddlers to practice their language skills, social interactions, and observation abilities in a real-world setting.
