We’re Going on a Bear Hunt!
The toddlers have shown a keen interest in our Bear Hunt storybook and props this week. To extend their engagement, we introduced a sensory Bear Hunt tray filled with a variety of textures inspired by the story’s settings from swishy grass to squelchy mud!
As the children explored the tray, they eagerly role-played using the story’s characters and play people, creating their own narratives while making meaningful connections to the familiar tale. Their storytelling skills blossomed as they re-enacted scenes and used descriptive language, demonstrating imagination and recall.
We had so much fun listening to and following along with the story during play, immersing ourselves in the adventure again and again!
